Musings

Musings was written for Splinter Reeds, a reed quintet. With five instruments in the reed quintet, I continued to return to the five voices present in the C Major Prelude from Bach's Well Tempered Clavier, Book 1 in my mind. I then composed a work referencing Bach, but creating new and interesting textures by stretching and warping Bach.
